Cooling for the timing belt? How strange. You think they would've made it work with a chain then if temperature was such an issue.

i dunno, but they did it for a reason i think...
Who knows why half the stuff on import cars is actually there?

I'm accustomed to early American cars, very straightforward. Later Japanese and European cars, not so much.

that piece is useless since the plastic behind the timing belt cover is missing a hole to allow the air to enter.

i had the feeling it went the other way, under the TMIC. makes more sense imo

timming belt?? if it has a cover how it gets cold down?? so ot really doesnt matter if you have it or not.
Thats what i have read about the duct, ill try to find the info and post it here.
Rumor I heard was that on 5th gen WRC cars the timing belt components kept overheating and breaking during racing. So on the 6thgen they designed the air duct to cool the timing belt but it ended up being unnecessary on the 3rdgen 3sgte.

thats where im going to install the 20mm cannon for when someone cuts me off
