Megan Racing Aluminum Radiator Review - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #88177 4 posts Started by JasonX
Hi everyone--
Those of you who own aluminum megan racing radiators, please let us know what you think of it.
1. What engine do you have in your car?
2. Why did you get this radiator?
3. Does it make your car run cooler than stock radiator?
4. Any issues?
5. How much did you pay for it?
6. It says for use with manual transmission. Is yours a manual? what if we swapped auto to manual, is it still okay?

Thank you

i have an answer for..
1. swaped 3sgte
2. because i read good reviews about it
5. i paid $189 free shipping.
6. my car is already manual

i dont have the rest of the answers because i havent install the 3s nor the radiator yet.
ill let you know soon when i install everything.
It says it's for a manual because these don't have the cooling lines for the AT like the OEM / replacement ones have
1. 5S-FE
2. I've owned other Megan Racing parts and wasvery pleased. They also sponsored my Integra I had at the time when they first started out.
3. Your vehicle should reach a specific operation temperature whichever radiator you use, however a good one will help dissipate heat better when heavily modded so you don't over heat.
4. Haven't installed it yet, but I would be surprised with any issues.
5. About the same as Diego
6. It will work just fine with a swap as Diego stated. I haven't swapped my trans yet so I will be installing a separate cooler I bought from Summit for the auto trans if I decide to install it before the transmission swap.
