So, i just pulled all my interior to prep for wiring in a stereo and amp (the right way), in addition to adding a trunk mounted battery. Everything came out fine. However i had a few surprises waiting for me once the carpet was completely out. Surprise 1, looks like this car at some point in it's 2 previous owns had a amp installed under the driver side seat. No problems with that personally, i removed the ground wire and the wire through the firewall that connected to the battery (which was still live btw, glad it hasn't caused havoc with my electrical system yet). That all went smooth, but then i see these two wires... i'm assuming one is the turn on signal for the amp, the other however?

Here are pictures, the first is located on the driver side door frame, spliced into a black and yellow wire:


The second hooks into a wire cluster up under the dash board, it has fuse and small toggle switch on it:


any ideas before i tear through wiring diagrams?

Looks like i'm doing this the hard way! Drat!
