Brake line ? - 6G Celicas Forums

Does anybody know what type of fitting is on the stock brake hard lines. I'm going to have some stainless lines made and I know that the caliper side is a 10mm banjo fitting, but what is the other side supposed to be? I'm guessing its a metric flare, or inverted flare of some sort, probably 10mm...but it is 1.0 or 1.25 pitch?
I took a look in the factory service manual, and that just isn't something that they go into detail about. I would be happy to email the brake section to you, if you'd like, but I don't think it will answer the questions you pose.

Good luck on the fabrication.
Thats ok, I have the service manual at home. I'm probably just going to have to take it apart to see. Thanks.
Any good parts store should be able to look up the hose part no. , and then look in their buyers guide/numerical listing and get ALL the dimensions, including flare type and thread size, done it myself MANY times.
hmm, very interesting. I'll give that a try...

Good parts stores are hard to find tho. I went to get brake pads the other day for the ST front brakes and the GT rear brakes. It took me like 20 minutes to explain to the idiot what I wanted.
you should be able to call any toyota dealership and they should be able to give you that info..
