Baffled sump? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #88838 4 posts Started by Mo_tron
Hi guys,

I'm looking at taking my 3sge beams ss2 out to track days every now and again, so I'm wondering if a baffled sump is a good investment. Obviously there is no point going with a dry sump system so my question is, do I really need to worry?
I have heard rumour that on hard left turns oil surge can be notorious on the 3sge.

(Shouting out to fellow kiwis Manfeild is where I'll be heading.)

So far I can't seem to find any manufacturer who makes a baffled sump for the 3sge, Moroso does one for the 3sgte though so would this work?

Any advice or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks guys smile.gif

where are you? get an engineering shop to improve your current baffle, get an autometer 30psi pressure switch and a big warning light if your that worried

I'm based in Palmerston North.
I was wondering about getting a shop to improve the baffle, but is there any point?

Being not very mechanically minded any rumour I hear and take seriously could be entirely wrong of course rolleyes.gif
