As the topic says ... which one might win? My friend has a CRX and it seems to have a slight amount of balls. I was thinkin a GT Celi would be able to keep up if not spank it. He says those things run around 16.2 on the 1/4 mi so I figured a GT would be somewhere around there. Any comments other than Hondas suck ... which I told him by the way a million times but hey .. Honda lovers love their Hondas (and I guess they can be pretty nice cars if you're not like most Honda owners)
CRX si vs. Celi GT - 6G Celicas Forums
dang well lightly modded the CRX SI can beat a 6th gen. but stock for stock i think youll get the jump on him cause of the torque but he might have you on the high end ..... you wont know till you run him.
when my cousin gets his CRX i'll get in his 5th gen celi and well let you know..

A stock Celica GT will beat a stock CRX (same driver ability, of course). I'm not too sure about what it'll do with mods, though. A stock GT is rated at 16.4 in the 1/4, while a CRX is rated at 16.6.
is it actually a CRX Si? most people around here dont have an Si, but just stick Si emblems on them...
stock weight on a 1990 SI is 2174lbs
stock GT 5spd is ~2550(not too sure on the number)
stock crx SI has 108hp and 100tq
stock GT has 130-135hp and 140-145tq
from my experience, a stock ST is on par with a crx STD model, so GT vs SI should be a good race.
try it out and see who wins

on paper it looks promising.
Believer, you'll leave her, in leaving them allNo but I don't buy itLike anything you do, as anyone you areCause I'm...Ten Speed, of God's Blood & Burial
I raced my friend's CRX a couple times and lost both times. >

The most recent time he had an intake, exaust, header....and took out a bunch of stuff in the back to make it lighter. He won by about a car length but it wasn't quite a quarter mile...Oh, and his was a manual, mine being an auto >

I'm gonna consider myself lucky that every honda owner in Orange County only knows about chrome taillights- and nothing else.
Mm CRXs for breakfast. >

I have a friend have is about to put a 2.0 vtec in his 89 CRX when he is done he is look at almost the same amount of power that is in a GT-4. He will definatly spank a 6th gen. Besides that car is light as hell he and I picked up off the ground and can't say that about my celica.
