I've got a 95 GT coupe and whenever I hit a bump small or large I get this clunking/slightly rattley noise from the rear (drivers side i think). There is nothing loose in the car the seats locked into place....Please help......

do a bounce test to see if you need new struts in the back

ok...bounce test.....do what ...and look for what while doing it?
bounce the back of the car (with your hands) and listen for the noise to see where it's coming from. If it comes from your struts. They are most likely toast.
Mine does the same thing, except it does it while driving. But mine has something lose in the rear break. Might be a caliper...i think thats what its called. Only goes away when i apply on the brake.
might also be just a sway-bar link...have someone else bounce it while you look for the source of the noise
Thanks everyone but the bounce method produced nothing....no creaks, squeaks, clunks, or anything else. The noise seems to be more reactionary than if it were a strut. I thought the jack was loose in the trunk...that is as best as I can describe the noise and situations that it occurs from. It's cold out, so I may just give up and bring it to the shop. But opinions are greatly appreciated.

same problem here... any1 find the solution to fix this yet?
I took the car to the dealer this morning (had to get a sticker anyways, the Toyota dealer is the closest place to me to do that) had them check it out while they had the car. Rear sway bar bushings shot Adding to the problem the rear struts are on thier way out (says dealer). They want $100 to do the bushings. I'm sure you all know how much they want for new struts/mounts.

You don't have to take the suspension apart, you just have to jack the car up and take the wheels off.
