I kind if thought they were from a hatch but then again. If I'm correct. Trd spats never cane stock on hatch models?

I know SS-III splitters are for the liftback, not sure if there were any TRD ones for the liftback. Being there is such a big gap I'm led to think they're for the Curren/coupe.

Sounds like you got coupe/current rears witch look just like TRD hatch rears
I lined my curren rears on the 1mz an it had a gap just like yours

Man that sucks.....now the debate. should I just take them off and sell them and buy liftback trd spats?

There were some silver ones going stupid cheap on yahoo the other night... I'll go and check if they're still there!

idk.. to me the gap looks pretty small, mine had a slight gap aswell (genuine trd)

i corrected it with 3m double sided tape and if you look there is a small hole at the under the side nearest the exhaust, i added small screw there to add holding power (you have to tap into the bumper)

that would help. I would want to buy silver ones so I wouldn't have to go through the process of sanding and painting and errythang again. Lol.

I tried correcting it 3m doublesided tape and no go. So I decoded to screw it into my bumper. And still no go. The gap is still here. Not I believe I do have the coupe ones. I remember asking if they were coupe ones on here when I first bought it but no one convinced me that they're coupe spats. I've always thought TRD spats came on hatch models only. Sucks. Lol. But oh well.

TRD spats were definitely available on the st202 / 205 AND the Curren in Japan (All options).

Unfortunately the dirt cheap ones sold frown.gif They were scratched up though, so still would have needed a new top coat. I'll keep my eye out for you smile.gif

Yea TRD spats for the celica only came one the hatches but TRD also made a kit for the current witch is basically a celica coupe.
I've got a coupe set an I've seen a pair of hatch spats to be honest off the car its hard to tell witch is witch (for me at least)
Your best bet is to get a new set of hatch rears an post the current set up forsale

I've got a set but they're red. They're in good condition though and they match up perfectly so I know they're hatch ones. I've been thinking of selling them and getting SS-III rears. I prefer the look of SS wingless which is what I'm shooting for.

Let me know if you're interested when you sell yours if you do.

Sure man, they're stored there and I plan on getting the car running how I want it before putting anything on.

Replaces my 15mm spacers with the 20mm spacers. Fitment is much better now. smile.gif

Small update. I've put back the front and rear Toyota Logo Emblems. Still debating if I want to put the rest on or not.

Do you have any issues at all with rubbing on the rear tires with those 20mm spacers? Looks like if you bottomed out on the suspension it might rub the fender.

Nope no issues. I'm running on Megan racing so I don't bottom out. If you want to ride low. Dont go cheap. Get some full body coilovers so you wouldn't bottom out like them cheap Honda owners.

I'm actually from Hanford, Ca but I just put Fresno because it's the closest major city and im there once a week. Yeap im Hmong. Hence why I always head out to Fresno. Lol.

That's a nice Celica you got tho, it's really clean. Never seen it around Fresno when I was still living around there. I'm working on my project (ST205 Front Clip) right now planning to get a new paint job and rust repair on mines, but first I'm going have to do a whole swap with the front clip I just bought.

Got my Magnaflow 14829 exhaust installed along with 2.25" piping today. Going to post pics tomorrow or the day after whenever I have time. Sounds nice. Not loud or raspy. smile.gif
