im a new member and celica owner.. i have a 95 celica gt.. completely stock... i was wondering.. would it be a better look to just drop it.. or go ahead and put a body kit on it.. and if i get the body kit.. are there any other suggestions other then veilside or invader.. thnx
Kit or Drop - 6G Celicas Forums
For the price of a body kit and mounting and paint, you can get some decent springs and some nice rims, which in my opinion look much better than a body kit. Sure, some cars need body kits to look good, but sixth generation Celicas are beautiful right from the factory. >
> I'd say just go for the drop(and maybe struts too, depending on how much of a drop you're doing, and the condition of your factory struts). Your car will look awesome and it will handle better.
New Toyota project coming soon...
Drop is the way to go...Kits can come later. Reason? +handling, looks, feels better. period.
Drop springs first then kits.
=(
Let me get this straight: If you drop the car, it will handle better, but in bumpy road the ride will be rough. Am I right?
Daaaarn....NZ sucks....we only got 3rd-world road standard >

If you get good springs and nice struts and shocks, the ride won't be too bad actually. I've got Eibach Sportlines and KYB GR-2 struts and shocks, and my car rides almost as good as it did when it was stock. >

I'd say drop it first, and follow it up with a kit if you aren't completely satisfied. Coomer is absolutely right, our cars look great straight from the factory, but the right kit can definetly increase the looks of our cars.
I think a lot of us have the same dillema and the overal consensus seems to be rim/drop first, bodykit second. I know thats what I'm doing.

cool.. thnx... thats helps.. i was really debating on which one to get.. but now i know.. ive already got enough money for springs i think... do all of you recomend eibach??
drop, then lip kit.
depends what you are looking for. if you want to auto-x your car or be able to drop it for shows, go with a coilover kit. if you all you want is for your car to look and perform a bit sportier, go with a spring set with a 1.5 or 1.75" drop. The Eibach Sportlines or Intrax springs are probably your best choices for springs, and for coilovers go with either Ground Controls or Dropzones.
How much are those eibachs? Alos, you can always go TRD for the springs, although they cost more and don't drop as much...
awesome.. thnx.. im goin to look in at buyin some eibachs soon.. thnx for the advice
