Pink ECU connector pin, what is it used for? - 6G Celicas Forums

Hello,

I'm busy doing the wiring conversion for the 7AFE -> 4AGE 20V swap. I'm stuck with 1 pin on the connector. If you look at the image below i'm talking about a pink wire (with some silver spots) that is located on pin 9 on connector E7.

Anybody knows what this one is used for? I'm thinking about my Toyota TVSS IIIB factory alarm, but can;t tell for sure. All the pinout on the internet don't describe that pin frown.gif

Sorry the image: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v132/wan...t4/Pinout_1.jpg

My 7AFE to 4AGE 20V Blacktop conversion!
Btw: The pink cable seems to be linked to the radio connector (but doesn't do anything) or disappear behind te dash. As far as i can see now it isn't for my alarm or remote control.

Look at the wiring diagram it should tell you where it goes. I don't have my manual handy atm
I've read all diagrams I could find but no one tells me what that cable is meant for frown.gif

Problem solved!

Its the EGW pin. Or in other words the exhaust gas warning light pin. Have no clue why that is on my ECU while i don't have an exhaust gas temp sensor.
