Topic #89573 7 posts Started by onnaj
Hello,

My BT swap is almost done, some obstacles i have to pass like vacuum obstacles biggrin.gif

I've enclosed 2 pictures can you guys tell me the vacuum lines on both pictures should go?

Nr 1 on the left is for the Brakes i think, but where should the second one go?

Nr 1 seems to come from the EVAP, second i don't now, fuel return maybe?? No idea really, so hope you can help me out smile.gif\

That really big one in Picture 1 goes to the brake booster.
The second picture I think it went to the P/S lines. Not sure I just cap them off.
Yeah you can cap it off

The really big one is connected yet to brake booster, but there's another vacuum connection right beside it, what to do with that. I thought that one would be for the power steering. The new steering pump doesn't have a vacuum connection, so i'll cap that one off.

Then on the second picture is one maybe for the vacuum of the fuel tank surge or how is that called? The second one is going nowhere then?

That small diameter hard line goes to the existing vapor canister located already on the celica. For the big vacuum hard lines you can cap either side of it but make sure to connect one side to the brake booster itself. For the power steering vacuum hard line you can just cap it off. The car will notice the load and drop the idle to around 750-650 rpm when turning your steering wheel at a stand still, but the car won't stall out at all.

Okay, so when i understand it well, the 2 big ones are going to the brake booster and the 2 smaller ones go to either the vapor canister and power steering? Then i have it right? wink.gif
