I have a 1994 gt-s and a 1998 gt the 1994 is an american car and the 1998 is a canadian car, the 1994 is obd 1 and the 1998 is obd 2, i took the motor and wiring harness out of the 98 and put it into my 94, the wiring harness from the obd 2 motor plugged right into my obd 1 ecu no wires or anything left over, after getting everything hooked under the hood i filled it up with fresh fluids, now here is the problem..... Got in the car and i turned the key over and it just spins nothing happens, i checked the fuel filter and its dry, i tried pumping the gas and what not, i cant even hear the fuel pump running when i turn it to acc, so i pulled one plug out with a wire and there is no spark.. Anybody got ideas to what could cause this? Do i have to change over the ecu? Because the 1998 gt is a complete parts car would changing the ignition control module do the trick? I need any help i can get. I need this car running by the end f the day or my dad said hes ripping it out of the shop tomorrow with the truck even if its on jack stands.....
Correct me if im wrong but if you used the OBD2 wiring harness, the motor + all the sensors youll need the OBD2 ECU so it can properly monitor the sensors that aren't on the OBD1 motor.
I would try the ECU from the newer car since you already have it.
okay im not very sure what all the ecu is... just where i plug my wiring harness into? and would i have to switch over the ignition control module aswell? or anything else?

i swapped out the ecu and nothing changed, no fuel coming and no spark still frown.gif is there something that i could have forgotten to hook up that could cause these two not to work?
Attached to the ECU, there should be a small relay, the Circuit Open Relay or COR. It sends the signal for the fuel pump, I don't know about spark though.

i changed the relay and still nothing... i really dont know what to do, i have un plugged and re plugged everything from the wiring harness twice... opinions?
Check the EFI main relay and the 15amp ST fuse, as well as the starter relay. You should hear a click from EFI main when you cycle the key to ACC.
