can i use and obd 2 engine, full wiring harness and ecu in an obd 1 car? i have no fuel and no spark has anyone else experienced this problem? what do i need to change or check? i swapped engine and wiring harness and ecu from a 1998 celica into my 1994 celica it turns over and spins but no spark or fuel checked every fuse in the car. thanks.

Most likely the wiring to the chassis is different. All it would take is one or two for it to not start.

You'll also probably get a CEL if you do get it running, because the chassis isn't set up for OBDII.
You should be able to modify it so it will work though.
