New tail lights... What to wear? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #90130 22 posts Started by HistoriCo
Got my new tail lights in the mail yesterday, and I'm not really sure about which one of them I should go with. What do you think?

Old tail lights:

New tail lights:

They are both nice, but I would stick with the originals on your car since the clear indicators pick up on the light highlights on your car with the silver wheels and clear side repeaters smile.gif

Hmm... I think it looks quite nice with the contrast with dark all red tail lights on such a bright colored car like mine... I don't know... Maybe put some nite shade on them or something... I don't know

+1

Not a fan of any of this 'blackout' crap...

The red looks good, but the JDM tails look better smile.gif

Damn... And I that was happy with the way the red ones looked tongue.gif Got any tips for what to use to smoke my previous JDM tails? Nite Shade?
I'd use window tint. That way it's glossy and looks good, not cloudy and looks bad. A single layer of 50 should do it.

That is actually a really good tip! Thanks a lot! I will need a heat gun though kindasad.gif
A hairdryer set on the hottest setting should suffice.

Tried it already when I tried to tint my rear window, but a bit problem with my GF's hairdryer... It overheats in about 20 seconds kindasad.gif
Hmm, need a new hairdryer. redface.gif

If it overheats after 20 seconds of use it's broken. Either fix this one(I hope you are not blocking it's exit due to blowing close to objects), buy a heatgun or make a nice present to your girl with a new hairdryer.

What happened to the audi idea?

Maybe a present to her would be nice smile.gif

The Audi idea still stands but need to think about what I should use as lighting... LED's, neon tubes, EL Wire etc. What gives me the best light, can I use them for driving and brake lights and more.
Been at work most of my days now, so haven't been thinking to hard on that yet. Got some ideas though ^^

With tint and yellow/orange LED's? Sounds good to me! Bought tint today, så will be starting with them in the upcoming week I think smile.gif
Or maybe wait until I have decided what to do with the audi project
Did this to mine

Looks better than stock because of the amber and black delete
but I think jdms look better without tinting.
Wow, this actually looks very decent!
