Bucking? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #90999 4 posts Started by 6G96GT
Guys, what are some general reasons why my 96 celica GT would have a stuttery acceleration right after shifting? Mostly happens in after going from 1st to 2nd to 3rd. Had a brand new clutch kit (oem) installed a month ago. Let's assume it's not the clutch...

Thanks!

Have you given the clutch time to break in? Outside of that it could be a matter of fuel, spark, or air. When was the last time the spark plugs and wires were changed? Also the distributor cap and rotor? Another thing is perhaps the fuel filter is clogged, people like to never change them in our cars.

Yea I've yet to change mine because they look like a pain in the ass to replace. Since it's not bothering me atm. I'm not going to bother it either. Lol.

It is a royal pain in the ass, especially after being in the same spot for the last 15-20 years.
