wanli, honestly is a generic brand. there usually the one's you get when you order tire/wheel combo's. unless you specify diff. they'll be alright, but i think it'll be kind of difficult to find a replacement should something happent to one. or to have one warrantied. yeah they're cheap in price, but i wouldn't buy them. of all the tires we sell (truck, trailer, & car) wanli's are the cheapest. like i said, they'll work, but stick to a reputable brand. toyo, yokohama, bridgestone, pirelli, goodyear, michelin, cooper & kumho are all awesome, but according to a tire industry mag called Tire Review, TOYO has been rated #1 in product quality for the past 7 years... i can have any tire out there, and i only run toyo.

my proxes T1-S have a treadwear rating of 280, traction AA, and temp. A. any tire with a similar rating, will perform the same. the only diff is in the compound the maker uses. so that is what makes the tire quiet . for the price, the wanli can't be beat. they seem to be getting good reviews from kwanza26, he has run many brands, so he's speaking from experience. i prefer toyo. the decision is yours.
Well, i like the Kumho Supras. I have had about 3 sets on different cars and loved them.
Right now money is tight and since they r going on the Celica, i don't care about how they run in the rain cause im not driving it in the rain, or even wet roads. Im just looking for a set of cheap tires that won't wear out after a couple thousand miles.
Compound used, tread pattern, side wall strength, and inner belts are all some characteristics of tires. No they arent all the same. Some tires are noisey not only because of the compound but because of tread design. Typically aggressive tread tires are noisey. Never had any wanli tires though >> My cheap falkens sure suck and are noisey as heck.

I was looking at a SuperStreet magazine today at target >>
There is a new Toyo Proxes 4 tire that they say is sweet, they even tested the tires at willow springs raceway using race-prepped 6G GT's >>
they look awsome and perform better according to them, traction is AA and temp. is A, other than that, the T1-s is sweet...eventhough iv'e never had them...YET >>
