Projector headlights - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #91312 13 posts Started by samboo
Today, I went out to look at all the extra parts i have left from my gt-four conversion, and i still have the lights, have not touched them yet, I'm trying to find out if they are projectors or not.
I noticed that on my headlight for my car it only has a spot for one bulb, but for the gt-four one it has 2 bolb spots. Does that make it a projector headlight? Will be posting pics shortly
The extra smaller bulb is just a city light.

Ohhhhhh alright haha that makes sense

Thanks every
I believe these are more rare than the projectors but doesn't hold as much value. Alot of the euro owners needs these lights to pass their inspections.

I have the JDM non projectors and mine do not look like this...well they do, but...
The headlight bulb opening looks way different, unless you're missing the piece that gets screwed down to hold the bulb in.
I'll look at mine tomorrow.
Those are the same JDM non-projector lights I took off my '94. I believe projectors were stock as of '96. Yours will hold regular 9005/9006 bulbs, as well as the city/accent lights which I do not know the bulb size.

Looks the same as on my stock '97 AT200

The parking bulbs are T10, same as the ones that go in the gauge cluster.

the little bulb is a parking lamp, the first click on the headlamp/indicator stalk turns on the little bulbs and the tail lights, dash cluster, etc, then the 2nd click turns on the regular head lamps aswell
(this setting can be used to turn on the fog lights without turning on the head lamps)

how many turns/clicks is there on the usdm stalk?

I figured somebody would have posted a picture of a set of projectors by now.

Samboo- the projector headlights are called such because of the projector in the low beams- it's the eyeball looking thing. The projector headlights are more sought after because of the clear lenses and better light output from the projector. The older style headlights and all USDM headlight have diffusers in the lenses.

It's the same, 2 clicks with an additional twisting switch to control the fog lights, but our fogs will only illuminate with the low beams.
