Laugh if you want, but I'm wondering, has anyone ever tried it? I found a set for cheap on craigslist and the ones in my celica are shot so is it possible with slight modification to get them into my car?

I've never done anything like that but my guess is that it would probably be terrible to do. How cheap are they? Stock replacements aren't too terribly expensive so why wouldn't you just replace them with something that is designed to fit your car?

If you're needing struts on the cheap just get a set of Stagg or Sensen struts off eBay.
