I have no idea what it is and need some direction. I just noticed that this thing's wire was cut and doesn't go anywhere anymore. I don't know whether or not this is causing my car to sometimes stall when turning the wheel all the way to the left or right. I also occasionally drop from idle 1000rpm to 800rpm and it stays there. sometimes it will jump back to 1000rpm after a little driving but also goes back down.

yes that is an O2 sensor.

It looks like the wire is spliced back together. Is your CEL on?

You might pull the code and check to make sure the O2 sensor is the only code you have. If you can find the other half of the wire, it would be a good idea to splice it back together.

Definitely try to find the other side of the wire and splice it back together. I dont know why they would even cut it. It should help your idling problems.
