So I'm changing my gauge lights to a blue/white color scheme (and making another youtube video of the before/after and process). White will be the backlighting, and blue indicator lights will be for the indicators instead of mostly red (seat belts, air bag, brake, ABS, etc) then a green cruise control, and amber low fuel level indicator. I love blue..lol, and this will be sick! I've already scraped off the red/amber/green film off of the back of the gauges that tinted the illumination. My only issue is that I don't know what type of bulb the "low fuel level" indicator is. All of the other bulbs are 74 except for the turn signals (didn't check because they are staying incandescent) and the backlight illumination which are 194 bulbs. The gas light bulb is slightly larger than the 74-type bulbs. Do you guys know what this bulb is so I can order it? All in all, it will be pretty sick as a blue/white scheme when it's done in about a week. Right now it is all incandescent white until my bulbs come in that I ordered, and it looks even more boring as before. Clean, but boring. Anyway..what is the fuel level indicator bulb??? Thanks!!!

I came across someone else asking the same question. They are calling it a w3w, but I can't find an LED bulb under that number.

I made my indicators white with T5 bulbs removed from their socket. It's should be the same process for the others as well.

I finished with my bulbs (youtube video below just uploaded a couple hours ago). Jump to 14:20 to see the blue indicators.
I'm not talking about the T5 bulbs though. I'm asking about the fuel level warning light (it is the w3w bulb). It is slightly larger than a T5, and considerably smaller than a 194/168 bulb. Did you scrape off the film on the gauge sheet too so that it is clear?

What does it matter what bulb it is, just connect + and - and you'll have light.
Yes, I sanded off mine.

I see what you're saying, but the issue is the wedge on the T5 bulb is too small for the fuel level indicator's fixture. The wedge on the w3w bulb is slightly larger than the T5. I suppose I could get another fixture that is like all of the other indicator lights. I didn't check to see if the other indicator's fixture physically fit into the place for the fuel level indicator. I could check that when I pull them out again.

I'm uncertain if the Euro and USA cars use the same bulb system or not.
but all of the bulbs in my system are 194 for the lights, and L74(074) for all of the little ones, including the little sockets that twist out of the instrument cluster for the indicator lights those are 074

it sounds like you are describing the same bulbs that I have. If you watch the youtube video I posted above it shows the bulbs in mine just before the 11 minute mark.

but if you check www.rockauto.com and pick Toyota>1994(or w/e)>Celica>2.2L>Electrical - lamp and Socket> instrument panel light bulb
it shows all possible bulbs needed , there is the 194, 074, and the other one listed is 037
