So for the longest time I kept trying to find a new armrest because mine was tearing at the top

All the armrest I came across at the junkyard were all short and didn't look like mine
then I discovered while trying to remove it that the top portion was just a cover

So the lower portion looks fine (Although that handle part to unlock it is broken and the cup holder slides out sometimes)
I was thinking of just reupholstering the cover, but im just curious because it doesn't seem like this cover was very common
does anyone else have this?

I had it in my first Celica but that was several years ago. I assumed it was a different lid, pretty cool find that it clips on.

I have it too, I never knew it hides the smaller one!!! I really hope mine is in good shape.. Because my tall one looks just like yours.. THANK YOU so much for this post. Kinda funny that my cup holder slides out as well. When I first got the car it was a pain to get it to slide out and now it just pops open when breaking..
