Topic #932 29 posts Started by rlan214
what do I need so that I can install them in my 6th gen?
how different are the mounts ?
you would probably need to get a new mounting bracket thingy you can get them from sparco but thats for there seats but they might work for the 7th gen seats

99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =)
I know that you are gona need to modify the mounting bracket. Charlie knows more about this than me.

Swipe the sliders from the car you swipe the seats from.
I just done it yesterday evening:
for rear seats there are no problem except that our seats are a little wider than 7th gen Celi, so there is a 2cm of space for each side betheen the seat and the plastic.
Front seats have a different spaces for the brackets so you have to customize them.
Hope this help you!!
i didn't buy the seat from the guy kinda figured that if im gonna shell $$$ for a seat might as well get a lighter one well thanks anyways
i think our seats are pretty damn comfortable...
I took the new Celica seats for just 200$ and if ours are comfortable they're 10 times more!!!! >wink.gif> >wink.gif> >wink.gif>
For rear seats there are no problem for fitting.
For the front seats there are few problem to fit....specially for the external rear hole which is completly out of the original position. but with some custom steel pieces you can adapt it!!

hey edo17892 can you post some pics of the seats in your car because i was thinking off buying aftermarket seats but the 2000+ look real good.
I'll make a photo ASAP.
Yes, I mounted the beck seats and they look damned good!!!! >wink.gif> >wink.gif>
ya know what would be sweet???

four bucket seats

2 in front

2 in back

that would be awesome

and easier than getting the 7th gen ones to fit..... not to hate edo but i like my 6th gen celica to much to put 7th gen parts in/on it
I understand u!!! >wink.gif> >wink.gif> >wink.gif>
if somewone could take pics of the stock celica seat mounting points i would really appreciate it. I wanna put them in my Sprinter (prizm ;-))

thanks

mike
whatever you got is fine just as long as it shows the brackets and where they mount to on the car. and also if anyone knows what colors etc they came in that would be helpful too

thanks

Eduardo,
any chance of posting those pics of the 7th gen seats in your ride,
I've got a chance of getting the fronts and would like to see
what they look like in the 6th gen..... >bowdown.gif>

hey all, unless you modify the brackets on the 7th gen seats so they bolt up, it's gonna be a tough-ish job. not impossible, but tricky. the reason being is that toyota seat brackets are welded on to the seat frame, so you can't unbolt them like on a corbeau or sparco. it's easiest to just modify the bracket all ready on the 7th gen seat. in fact, i bet 3 or the 4 holes line up no problem, that's how most toyota seats from the same models work.

He's right. the brackets have some gaps...in the exterior rear corner the gap is very very big....you've to make custom pieces to adapt it....
Anyway, I just sold them and I think to get 2 Sparco....
By the way...they look very cool on the car >wink.gif> >wink.gif> >wink.gif> >wink.gif>
If you need racing seats, I think I can hook you up. Maybe even sparcos.
Pics of the 7th gen seats in a 6th gen???

Anyone??

I just read that a 5th genner put 7th gen seats in his celi and 3 holes lined up.
Ya think it would be the same in the 6??

If so, id rather get the 7th gen seats rather then getting mine recovered.

will bolt just 1, maximum 2 holes....believe me >wink.gif>
