thanks for the compliments. It cost me ~$800.00 for parts and $100.00 to get painted. Oh the joys of working for a Toyota dealership >biggrin.gif> >biggrin.gif>

For the average joe...its probably gonna cost around ~1200.00 for parts and ~$300.00 to get painted (not including install).
Heh, oh man...well, $1200 is worth it. Do you have all the part numbers? Because I know someone posted them before, and someone said not all of them were right.
Wow, very nice......If i had lots of money to throw around i would love to do that. Definately like it, just needs those wheels on there now. >biggrin.gif>

No, the install wasn't hard. Just have to do the fix to get your hood open (to be able to unlatch). I fixed that quite easily. An the retainer for the hood seal can only be bolted down with 2 bolts, but the fix for that was simple and worked fine. I will post my fixes for those soon. Other than that it was a straightforward install. Oh, the stock aluminum bumper support will have to modified or taken off...your choice.

Thanks...I can't wait either. Funny part is that I am really trying to decide if I like the car enough to keep it for a while. Well see when the wheels arrive and I put them on..but so far...so good.
that is beautiful. I will honestly say that IMO that is the best mod for looks on a 6GC.
Part numbers:

81510-20750 turn lamp
81520-20750 turn lamp
52119-2b905 bumper
53301-20500 hood
52611-20150 absorber
52521-20200 retainer
53395-20020 seal - hood
75034-20030 rear vent
75033-20030 rear vent
76180-20010 hood bulge
76190-20010 plate assembly
53101-20500 grill
53111-20750 other grill

But I heard some people say they weren't right.
hey man that looks great

hello everyone...first post here...
i saw the post with the part numbers for the hood and bumper and i went to cabe toyota in long beach and asked for the hood and bumper for the gt4... $550 for the hood and 475 for the bumper
I don't get it...they said the hood and the scoops/vent comes seperate...meaning i have to do it myself? and looking at your pictures...the scoops goes on the hood so cleanly...how is it installed?.. bondo, fiberglass it on or something...
I thought the hood was sold in whole...

nope, hood, two vents, center grille, and insert for hood bulge are all seperate pieces...
Ok, I am confused. How is all of this put together? this doesn't make sence.
can i you explain how it works?... i mean look at the picture of your cars...i dont see any gaps...looks so clean.. look like its just one whole part... is there any fiberglass or bondo involved with the installation?

The hood is one piece, but the pieces you are talking about are the grills that have to be inserted into the hood bulge and rear vents. By the way, where are you from. I live in Long Beach and Cabe Toyota is near my house.

go to my website (project "daily driver")and you can see pics of the hood and bumper before the grilles were added...it will give you a pretty good idea of how every thing goes in. BTW, no bondo or fiberglass needed....everything bolts together.

did they tell you 550 for the hood without the inserts? Cuz if they did, you are gettin ripped off. The toyota dealership here quoted me $444 shipped. better check around to other places to get the best price.
I have all of the part prices that are +tax down in my car. I also check to see how much toyota could order projector lights for. ha, $350 each!!!
actually its 550 with the inserts....
total up to 550.. i looked everywhere and thats the cheapest i can find..
i went to west covina toyota and its 650 for a used hood..WTF?...
i went to toysport and they said 950 for the WRC hood conversion..hahaha
$444 shipped? where's this.?
