I've grown tired of forgetting to turn on the low beams on my imported ST205, so i want to change their behaviour so that they're normally on, like in my euro AT200.

I's it as simple as to replace the combination switch with a euro?

I purchased a DRL kit off ebay that I wired in myself. Took a while to figure out the wiring, but now my side lights inside my low beam housing turn on as soon as the car turns on, but I know for my safety inspection I switched the leads onto my low beam lights so that they would turn on instead.
