So when i start my car up sometimes, it does not want to stay started unless i keep on the gas otherwise it shuts off. Also, when i put it in reverse it does not always go right into gear sometimes even not at all, when it does it jumps in ad out but the other gears work besides it seeming like its been shifting into other gears on its own or when ii let off the gas a a little, its an automatic. please if someone could help

have you jumped the pins in the diagnostic box(Te1 to E1) to get the CEL codes?
that would be a good place to start. Otherwise how long has it been since tune-up? plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor, fuel filter ect.
