>>Wait time to make batch of 15 is 4-6 months>>

They are 15min from me. if the community can really pull together 15 people

Spoke with carbon creations, for the batch of 15 made of fiberglass with fiberglass tabs = $250 each (he's pretty sure on that price) could be $10-15 more.

Carbon fiber = $350 each (not sure if this is with metal tabs).

Urethane Lip = $300-350 each and can include metal tabs. However this material will need a larger buy in.

Yes it'd fit the facelift.
Preface will technically fit, but it will need modifications to look okay. And even after that it probably will still look a bit odd.

Wish i lived in SC!! Haha good luck on this one guys!

BUMP
i would be interested if the price is fair.
cool cool okay so i see their is some interest but still i need at least 10 people. or atleast that what im assuming the body kit company will ask of me. tomorrow i'll start asking around for quotes.

It will need modification assuming you have a face-lifted front bumper

So I just called vis racing and he said he has no clue when he'll get back to me with the quote, but remember we need total of 19 members to make this happen.

He said things slow down towards the end the year...

I have a 94 st, and am interested as well
well im not even going to bother calling vis racing unless one of you guys want to. they are a good company but i guess not so good if they can't even get a simple quote after waiting a month.

what other companies out there in so cal are good.

vis makes good product, but I guess they don't open their software unless you throw money at them..have you tried carbon creations? or AIT?

Most of the lips on their website seem to be $250-400 (probably the lower end for a standard FG lip group buy).

Add on a few dollars for shipping and you end up at around $300 for a replica body part that never fits right. Most of the ones I sell end up being $330-350 for a genuine Toyota one express shipped from Japan. Just not sure if it worth all of your continued effort.

I'm still waiting on price.
im not entirely sure it will even work out. as i don't even have a 96-99 bumper in my hands so that if this group buy even happens how will the company that makes the molds of my tom's lip, fit it onto a 96-99 front bumper i don't have.

I'm interested in this. Getting my hands on a toms lip is proving to be quite the task so if this still might happen I'm very interested.
just got a tom's lip with no cracks at all and all tabs in tact except for one.

i called vis and they said i needed 19 members in order for them to replicate them.

perhaps if i call VIS or AIT we can get them to do 15. as it will be easier to get members. but is anyone interested. this will be my last attempt.

i checked ebay, the seller makes many kits like funked and used to have the replicated tom's lip on there but don't see it anymore...

Bonzai,

I'm in San Diego and have a face lift bumper if they need one to use. And of course am in for this group order. Looking forward to this, if and when it happens.

PM me if you need more info.

not trying to be a Debbie downer but this thread made back in 2008 had no momentum. looks like it might be the same for this thread as well. as our community is smaller than it was 8 years ago.

http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...57743&st=40

I would suggest making it out of urethane as much strong and near same material if not better thans tom's original material. which would be $300ish. unpainted. still better than what you would of paid 8 years ago at $900 for a painted one.
