Opinions... I have access to both. I have new leather covers for celica seats. Would the frs seats suit the celica?

I have had a local WTB for the leather Toyota 86 GTS / Subaru BRZ seats for about 2 months now.... just waiting for a set to come along nearby.
Then I am planning to get the Vincent_Doggy faux-leather covers in black with red stitching for the rears to match

I've never sat in the FRS/BRZ seats but the shape of them looks weird to me. not sure how they will look in a celi. Does this mean you're getting rid of the MR2 seats?

I sat in them very recently at the local Giant Pumpkin Festival, and they were really quite nice for my smaller body frame. If I could replace my current seats with those, I absolutely would, mostly because of the adjustment positions and the feel. I'm not sure if it would fit in the celi's tho.

Go for the frs seats! I would love to see those in a celica. Whenever I get my curren I'm going to put them in there.

No, I just meant that I was going to get the black with red stitch leather seats from the 86 for the front, and vincent's replacement covers for my Celica seats at the rear in the same colour scheme to match the 86 seats.

It would look amazing in leather.... and from what I have seen of your build it would be a much more suited to your car. The red shoulder pads on the cloth seats are a little childish
Also, You may have seen this on the forums, but I have read somewhere that some owners were very unhappy upon delivery because the cloth and leather seats are actually a slightly different shape, and depending on your build this can be an issue. I'm a tall, skinny twig so I love them, haha

I'm doing a set of FRS seats in Lily. I've already got them lined up and we have a place locally that can do the brackets to make it work if I can't.

Keep us updated with how the fitment goes, and how low the seats sit (it annoys me that the factory recaro's in our cars are taller than stock). Good luck

Yeah I know - they mount a completely different way. My uncle has a metal fabrication business so I will be getting him to make some rails that can be engineer approved for road use, but if somebody beats me to it then it would be great to be not going in blind

frs/brz seats are not only comfy but they r good looking as well. and dont have silly writing anywhere.

i've had both and my vote goes towards getting FR-S/BRZ seats (if you can get them installed without too much hassle).
the FR-S/BRZ seats are much better than the 6gc leather seats.
they have bolsters that are enough to keep you in your seat while cornering without being difficult to get in and out of unlike the oem recaros i had on my gt-four.
they also feel comfortable during long drives, look better, and will probably sit lower if you can get them installed giving you more headroom (if you have a sunroof).

got a set from ebay. will arrive next week. should not be hard, i will post the updates when it gets here... at any rate, im going to see what i do with the rears. the goal is to maybe get the leathers at a future time... or maybe not.
they are very comfortable, i drove the frs. and fee better than recaros, and are only 2 years old.

unfortunately dont fit without major mods, that im not going to do unless i have free time. the seats are to tall, and the way the rail system is fabricated does not allow to be moded.
With a lot of hard work, they can be made fit.
measuring the distance between front of the seat to the floor:
frs seats are 11 inches
celica seats are 8 inches. and it pushes legs up.
sad day... maybe ill tackle it some other day....
need less to say. i cannot resell one seat, because its all hacked up.. so now they are mine forever.

took some pics, but in all honesty to lazy to upload. i would have to cut a lot and weld a lot, and relocate the mechanism, and not something that can be done in 4 hours.
those seats are very tall per se, when standing on a flat surface, 3.5 inches taller...
good thing i did not sell the leather seats. lol... i mean it may be doable, but just to much work .
