Lots of Oil coming out of my PCV - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #9450 9 posts Started by XXX_Mina
ok, i passed the compression test... now what
whats a reason allot of oil is coming out of my
PCV the numbers were from left to right: 150,
150, 145, 145... the car lost about a quart of oil when i raced 1/2mil @12 psi, and lost 1/8th of a quart when i floored it down a small street after doing a compression test... the car runs fine , smooth, except for the oil coming out of the breathers.

what do these 3rd gens have that would make them
do something like this look close at pics of

well just remeber that your engine is running lot hotter then when you had the 7A in there.. try turning down the boost and see what happened....there might not be anything wrong with your engine.. i know my cousins mr2 bruns more oil when the boots is raised.. oh yea what oil are you using too?

wow, im readin this, an now thinking im not going to even think about a swap anymore, please update when you figure out what it is. cause ya'll still convinceing me to geta swap, one reason cause there isnt one in md, or even a reall good looking celi on that count, except for um... the dude in hollywood.....
I thought your compression should be in the 220's?

it was only cranked 4 times.... the compression test is weird... basically they remove the spark plugs, and hook up this machiene to where the plugs go, then they cracnk the ignition like 4 time, or whatever times.... my mechanic did it 4...and comrpession builds up, so after 4 cranks it was 150, maybe after 5-6 it would be 200.

on a cool note: allot of unburned gas got in my exhaust during the test, and it bogged big time when the test was done and we started it up again... too bad i didnt have a camera, it scared the **** out of me thou.

even on stock boost oil comes out those things...

sorry mina but something internal is damaged bad... i will put money on pistions piston rings or landrings... gool luck on the rebuild, time to get some forged internals
yeah, i think its the landrings... i think thats what my mechanic said. those things seem fine, until high pressure is applied , thats if those rings are the small ones on the pistons that easily break when detonation happens.
