Front inserts - 6G Celicas Forums

I'm a little confused. I ordered front inserts for my 97 celica st.
Today I removed my strut and it didn't have an insert. It was a complete sealed strut.
My inserts came with a giant lock nut and my strut does not have this.

Previous owner probably replaced the inserts with a full strut

Thats probably the reason why, thanks. I didnt even know they had full front struts for our cars.
