tranny problem help please - 6G Celicas Forums

i was driving om the highway on 5th gear and tried to removed from 5th and it was stuck. i forced a little to remove it from 5th and i heard soemthing broke. i went under the car and i found this hole on tranny. now all the gears work but not the 5th what could of happen?
the image is showing up super small. for me at least. thats a hole in the case yeah?

ouch, ouch. the tranny blew on you. can you fix it, yes. but you need to get another 5th gear cover, and fix the broken parts. might as well just replace the tranny. sorry...

Looks like the fifth gear selector worked it's way off the shift shaft. I agree with everyone else. That trans is toast
this is my first time seeing an s54 decide to leave the case lol!

haha not a s54 its a e153 lsd. good tranny wasted

oh yeah, those shifter arms go loose all the time
