I'm not sure if it's the same on Toyota as Honda but just try to pull the srs/air bag fuse. Only thing is once you pull fuse it disables all air bags. That's how it works on Hondas I'm sure I'd work on Toyota.
I have tried on toyota, it works same as with honda. By pulling the srs/air bag fuse, the air bags gets disabled.

I thought of pulling the fuse but at the same time I dont want to put the passenger in danger for a stupid light. Lol.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I was told that with the SRS warning light on, the airbags will not go off. I don't know first hand as i have not crashed hard enough in any car with the SRS light on to possibly trigger the airbags.

The air bags won't deploy if the light is on.

i was just going to ask about your setup too.. i want to go with a quick release setup with my grip royal wheel.
The connected airbags will still work as they should.
FunkySR Ill have to give that a try. celicaracer8o5 Im using a NRG short hub and NRG quick release.
You can test it. Get a sledge hammer and slam the sensor with a mighty blow.
