okay so my dad tells me about this 84' or 83' celica gts with the 22re that he had in the mid 90's , im curious if its realistic.

Mods to the car were: Bigger injectors- unknown size
cams- unknown grind
gear ratio was 5.something (he tells me they were stock)

Okay so with this car he says he was running 125mph in a 1/4 mile. i highly doubt that he was running that but thats what he says. what are your guys thoughts?

I'm afraid to tell you your old man is more full of **** than a Christmas turkey. Your Celica would smoke it. The only thing the third generation Celica has going for it is the fact it's RWD and doesn't have the dorifto tax like the AE86.

hahaha thats what i thought but theirs no point in trying to convince him that hes wrong. hhahahaha it seemed way to ridiculous to be true but thats what he told me. ohh also he tells his stock 92 sc400 ( with 238,XXX miles on it) he had last year was a car length ahead of a camaro with an Lt1

The Camaro must've been sick and or had a really bad driver. Though if you're going to drive an automatic the SC400 is a much better car.

Maybe 125mph in the 1/2 mile.
