I'm so excited to finally get to start my Celica project! I have a bone stock red, 95 GT convertible, (except the rims). I will be starting off by swapping it to a manual ( this is why I have the white parts car). I will be putting in all new brakes and suspension. Going drilled and slotted rotors for brakes and Tein lowering springs. After this is done, I will move on to doing a turbo build. Everything will be done by me, except I will be having it professionally dyno tuned.

I am going full on show car with this bad boy. Everything under the hood that cannot be made to look Shiney and new, will be replaced! Interior will be overhauled as well. I plan on doing the gt4 trd splitters for front and rear, with gt hatchback sides.

I haven't picked out the exact paint color yet, but it will be a shade of burnt orange. I get to start tearing these cars apart tomorrow, and I can't wait!! It is definitely gona be one sweet ride when I'm all done.

Welcome here.
I'd be careful with dirlled and slotted rotors, as they are prone to cracking, and don't really add much performance from what I've read. Usually drilled OR slotted, but not both.
Also, if you will be lowering, you'll need to change your struts and mounts sooner or later, just something to keep in mind. I'd personally do it all at once, speaking from experience.

One last tip, the TRD front and rear splitters don't flow the greatest with the OEM skirts. I'd personally go TRD skirts with those splitters as well, but they're hard to come by for a good price, once you factor in shipping. Unless thats the look you like, then giver!

Thanks for the info. I'm hoping the rotors will be ok since in will not be exposed to the elements at all. I will be replacing struts, ball joints and everything as well. And I do agree about the trd sides, but they are pricey, and I already have the other ones. Still not 100%.
I personally would just go with some black rotors, or perhaps slotted, but maybe thats just me.
And tell me about it, I had been searching for the TRD skirts for a while, and being in canada, the shipping and exchange rate just killed it.

Got the auto tranny out of the vert, manual tranny almost ready to drop. Got the sifter assembly, cables, and brake pedal installed in the vert. Going to stop at the store tonight to pick up some drill bits so I can install the clutch pedal and master cylinder.

Clutch pedal and master cylinder in, center council put back together.
Clutch line from master cylinder is in as well

Nice project, Good luck smile.gif

Lol, yea its very nice to work in.

So tranny is in, everything is hooked up. Just need to put brakes in ,and all fluids.

But I do have a question on the wiring side, I followed the guide in the "how to" section, and it says what to do with the wires from the big gray plug, and says leave one plug hang. But I have 3 plugs coming out of my harness that were plug to the front of the auto trans....do I just let both other ones hang??? 1 plug has only 1 wire, the other has 2.

Also, if I want to have to have the clutch pushed down in order to start the car, I read that I'm supposed to run the 2 black wires to the clutch start switch. BUT which wire goes where, or does it matter?
Can anyone help clear this up for me????
nice garage

Learned a lot in 10 years...I hardly log in anymore, last loginToday Sept 6 2019, and I was forced just to clarify a post. LOLIf you PM me and I dont respond, dont fret or cry. I'm not sure on the wiring either, but wanted to say hello to another Iowa convertible owner! I may have some questions for you about a few things. Anyway, looks like quite the project, and as others have said, great looking space you have there to do the work in.
sorry I'm just here for the garage as well. hahaha

Can you list what parts you needed from the donor car?

Brake Pedal
Clutch Pedal and bracket
Master Cylinder
Shifter assembly
Shifter cables

what your final wiring ended up being?

I read your other post that you couldn't start it with the manual ECU?

Oh and nice garage! bowdown.gif

Parts I used off donor car were:
Transmission and 2 off the bolts
Clutch pedal assembly
Brake pedal
Clutch master cylinder
Hard and soft clutch line from master cylinder
Shifter assembly and center console piece around shifter
Shift cables
Driver side axel
Plug on top of tranny for wiring
Slave cylinder

Bought new:
Flywheel and clutch

Wiring seems to be fine as done instructed by the how to post. I just changed my ecu back over, and it works just fine
So it's been a while since I last updated....but now that the weather is nice again, I've been putting on some miles to break in the New clutch. Once I'm done, I am going to route all my intercooler piping, so I can make necessary cuts in the car. Then I will be pulling everything out to paint the engine bay.
After this is will be doing my turbo setup. I have already started ordering parts for this. I have the
ct-26 turbo
stock 3sgte manifold
heatshield
2 bar map sensor
3sgte oil pan
Aftermarket downpipe.
Oil filter relocation adapter
Boost controller
Autometer gauges: boost/vacuum, oil psi, and wideband 02
Intercooler kit with ssqv bov
And I've got the rear spats too

I'm looking forward to getting the project in full swing! Just have 100 miles to go to break in the clutch!
