Topic #96194 10 posts Started by Riku
Hey, guys
I don't really know much about the differences in the cars and this weekend im picking up an '94 Celica GT without engine for parts on my '97 ST and i was wondering if anyone had any tips on parts i should swap and which parts i shouldn't because of compatibility.
If your st has rear drums I would swap the rear discs of the GT.

Pretty much this will be the only difference since it's a rolling shell. Set aside a weekend and knock it out: http://www.6gc.net/howto/convert_rear_drums_to_discs

Also both front fenders are damaged/rusty so i was thinking of swapping both sides, is the GT fenders compatible with the ST?

As far as upgrading from one to the other, mainly the brake system as mentioned with the rear but don't hesitate on switching out the fronts as well, the GT front brakes are a larger set up. Pretty much aside from the motor thats what makes the GT different from the ST, so everything else is spare parts lol.

1997 ST:Limitedly GreenThis car is not about racing... This car is not about power or performance... It's purely about being cool.

Not possible, Norway is super strict when it comes to swapping/adding performance items to the car.
If you want to switch to a more powerful engine (say if you lucky enough to get permission) you have remodel the whole engine room and rest of the car for it to match the original car the engine belonged to.

Thanks, i want switch out as many bodyparts as possible, because my car is really worn out, small rust spots here and there and plastic cracks certain places inside.
I really love my Celica, but its just so damn hard and expensive to find parts where i live and i wish I could have as shiny and special as you other guys on the forum.
Reason i dont post picture of mine is because it looks sad compared to all the other ones here kindasad.gif
Not pretty much the only difference. The front brakes if a GT is bigger. You guys got a lot to learn
