Commercial honeybees in the US are fed a liquid mixture of sugar water with antibiotics. The collapse of bees is all caused by humans -- unfortunately. We need to be more conscious of them, they are the reason we eat. If you like documentaries, I HIGHLY recommend More Than Honey.

But I think you're confused, they don't feed commercial bees corn syrup and anti-biotic...in the US. There's 'Chinese honey' that's got all kinds of funky contamination such as heavy metals, animal anti biotics, fertilizers, etc. US honey producers just filter and pasteurize, it's the foreign sourced honey that can be of dubious quality and origin or not even honey at all.
