Been a while since I've been on, basically because I've had 26000 trouble free miles.
This week though, had a bit of an issue turning when engine starts. A bit of chirping from the engine bay accompanied this. Then, catastrophe.
Leaving work, lost all power steering, heater started blowing cold, rad was boiling after a ten minute emergency drive back home at night, accompanied by battery discharge light and brake warning light, which I assume means brake servo is not running (does it feed off P/S pump?), although I noticed no drop in braking performance.
The lack of heat almost seems like head gasket, although I'm wondering if it's a belt issue due to the chirping, and I assume it runs past the alternator and PS pump.
Any input would be massively appreciated.
