Ok I posted this in celica.net also. But I know there are others that mostly post on here too. Just thought I'd get the best outta these 2 forums.

So I was wondering if those of you that own a hatch...does your rear windshield nozzles work? Bcus i don't think mine have ever worked since I've had my Celi for the past 2.5 yrs. I believe this was once posted before.

I'm clueless as to figuring out why they aren't working properly. Help please....any info would be great.

I'm thinking I might just have to replace the whole asm in the rear?? It just sux bcus the snow here in MI is a pain....and defrosters in the rear aren't working too well with my tints on them either.

My Rear nozzle works, but it sucks. It just drips a few drops on the rear windshield. That's why I never bother to use it.

I have a question about the our front nozzles, my squirt out "beams" of fluids instead of "spray". That uses up a lot of fluids specially in the winter time. I am just curious is that the same for other 6 gens?

ok here something that should work. take a needle and stick it the nozzles this should clean it out and you can also point it like this. most of the time when a nozzle doesn't work it's cause it full of dirt.

Yup my fronts do the same thing....tried to clean it out with a pin for the front and rears and it didn't help.
But mine shoot out...not spray in the front too GTS_Bun. It pisses me off. I try to time it so that it'll hit the wipers so the fluid will kinda spread out! LOL

I was told to just HOLD down the button for the rears instead of pushing it. Maybe that'll work. It could be obstructed deep into the tubing. ???? I'll see how it goes when I get outta work. But I know it'll be the same result!

OK so ....right after I left work I sat in the parking lot and tried to get my RR wiper fluid to work.
I turned the wipers on and HELD down the button for who knows how long...prolly like 30 sec. and I began to hear some fluid motion. So it's working now!! How funny...it took 2.5 yrs for me to try this out!! LOL I'm embarassed!!

Yea, in the back it's not supposed to spray out like the front ones. Mine just runs kinda like a river out the nozzel. Then the wiper is supposed to spread it across. And about the defroster with the tint on, something may be wrong with yours cause I have aftermarket tint and mine works just fine. It takes a few minutes to defrost completely and remember that it is on a timer so don't think it's broken it might just be off because of the timer, even if the switch is pushed on.

You mean to tell me that that black thing on the top of my car ACTUALLY does something?????? I'll be damned!

i am probably gonna shave all of them sometime. I heard that supras, celicas, eclipses, etc. all look better with the rear wiper removed too. Does anyone know how to take that off?

I actually tried the needle trick and that helped a lil...but for some reason the whipers always push the fluid right in my window...which sucked that day i had bird **** all over my windshield

I am proud to say that mine work,but mine has the river effect happening.However I rarely use it as I hate the way it looks after,some of the window clean some dusty.This is very annoying. Yeah I know this would called anal however this is me. >>

You didn't say whether you could hear the washer pump running when trying
the rear washer.If you can then try macaveleys needle trick.If not you may
have to get to the washer bottle/ pump unit which is only accessible by
removing the wheel well and underside engine cover panels.You can check the
presence of fluid by removing the drivers side kick plate, withiin here you should see the tube with fluid. Operate your stick control and see if the spring mechanism moves.Mine hasn't worked since I've had the car, but I'll have
a go when the weather improves

yep i do the same thing. it hate that. The back one really sucks

I have thought about removing the rear wiper. I wonder what that would look like. Also taking off the rear squirter thing.


Oh and if you have waxed your car lately then you might have some of that stuff in there too.
