Hi, im new to all this. Bought my celica not expecting to want to modify but that changed a week into owning it haha..

I have a goal for 400-500 whp but im pretty sure i cant get that on the stock 7afe.
I cant really do a 3sgte swap unless i hit the lottery or somehow come across the money because the 5k i read it would cost would take me forever to save and be able to do it.

I found a 4age head on google for around 300 bucks and have been curious about the swap. Im new to this car stuff and when i try to research it the discouragement takes over pretty quick.

So i know it has been discussed but i cant really find the steps involved. If someone would please help me with information i would be grateful.

Or atleast give me a different start to my 500hp goal. I thank you in advance.

Aha go to other forums for making 7agte. You don't want to buy a swap but expecting to make 400hp with $3000 did I read correctly?

it will cost more than a 3S swap to get half that out of a 7A.

you have other options, keep reading the forums

You can't scrape together $5,000 but you want a car with 500hp? Those two kind of go hand in hand. Either you buy something more expensive that's got closer to 500hp already and put some money into it to reach 500hp or you buy a much cheaper car and put a lot more money into it to get all the way up to 500hp, which frankly on a FWD car is good for hard parking, dyno-queening, and highway rolls.

7age isn't as popular amongst 6gc members but has been well researched on the corolla forums. take a look at those builds.

I will say that a 3s will probably end up being cheaper than trying to build a 500 hp 7age. so do some research first, then save up.

Dont waste your money, research, and save. be more considerate and push for 200 bhp. you can probably achieve that, with 3000$.

but you just cant slap a chip and call it a day.

I actually found the feasable swaps topic on the forum and that helped. What i was wanting to do was gradually add parts and gain that but im sure now to be able to get near 300hp im going to have to swap out the entire engine. So for now im just going to enjoy my car for what it is lol. Im just going to wait and save up for a 3sgte swap whenever i can.
