Exhaust readings - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #97178 5 posts Started by Rusty
Found my recent dyno run that had the exhaust gas readings. Now here in New Zealand we don't have emission testing on our yearly vehicle testing, so I wanted to see if I could match up with people who get emission tested, see if its a similar result.

My Celica
Yea, don't know if anybody in the US bothers with the tailpipe readings. For cars 96 and newer, the emissions aren't even checked during inspection - inspector only hooks up to OBD2 port to read the car computer reported readiness monitors. For pre-96 cars, inspections stations are supposed to check emissions, but it's certainly nothing more than idle readings, certainly not at speed on a dyno.

Interesting info to have nonetheless.
Hmm interesting.

From memory, the guy was pretty impressed with my results
