I know right, if only we had sixth gens again then the name could stay the same.
I think forums in general are just dying, not just here but even bigger forums with bigger member counts things will be stagnant for days on end. Thanks to things like book of faces, tweeter, and instant graham crackers people don't need to be bothered with going to other sites to talk about the car or appliance they own as everything is right there in one place.

WaitingOnAn8gcBecauseThe7gcSucked.com I still have 4 1/2 6gc's just haven't been doing anything to them in a while now. Winter should change this as I'm finally getting around to one or both V6 swaps, but I have to admit I spend way too much time on the FB groups.

It would take a really strong movement of people to pull it off. As an example GM still has all the rights to Pontiac and Firebird and there's a huge legion that'd buy a "Pontiac Firebird" from their local Chevrolet dealership, and all they would have to do is change a few panels and interior bits like they always did but I guess they figure it's cheaper and easier to just make the one car they'll end up buying anyway if not given a Firebird alternative. All that said the Celica would be different since there isn't already an internal competitor now that Scion and the tC are dead, so if it's going to happen at any time this would be it.

Entry level FWD sport compact that could be priced competitively against the Civic, so it would have a purpose.

The 7th gen is as mechanically good as any other Celica generation, just cheap inside like all cars in it's class became at that time. Fit and finish is good inside and out, overall a solid car. Just don't miss a shift and you're OK.
