Should I keep my smiling face bumper ? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #981 22 posts Started by rlan214
Well my friend is gonna get a body kit and he told me I can have his front bumper which is gonna come from 96-99 celica
do yall think i should keep my smile 94-95 or just go for the 3 post bumper ?

Also doggy did you custom made your own grille ? almost looks like a 96-99 >smile.gif>
Also at first I was gonna keep my 94-95 because I was planning on going turbo but I dropped that idea since I figure I dont have that much time tuning with school getting harder everyday >frown.gif>
it's free wow go for it. you can always switch if you don't like it
Id say get the 3 post from your friend. I always wanted one so I could have the factory fog lights.

well he's actually my sis' fiance.... he pretty much gave me mah car >biggrin.gif>
Honestly I personally dont like the fronts from th 96's and up. I like our big smiling grille we got. Buy hey its your car.

Have a look at the difference between the two bumpers, see which one you like better - I reckon the facelift one looks more aggressive , also it's slightly easier to fit a mesh grill. *EDIT: and...of course it has clear indicators
I changed my original smilie bumper to the facelift one myself (bought it cheap from someone who had fitted a veiside kit)
It's fairly easy to do, fits the same with no gaps or anything but you need the brackets for the foglights.
Heres some pics of the car before I did it , in progress etc

I agree with you on this one. I like the '96 and up bumper, but I like the '94 and '95 bumper even more. >smile.gif>

New Toyota project coming soon...
I agree. I love my 95. >smile.gif> I personally don't like the look of the 96+

yeah i've trying to find aftermarket fogs that looks like that.... oh well
back in the subject i do love my smiling bumper tho but i guess i dont mind having a REAL clear turn signal.....
another reason to change ... this only works if actually find the part # for that lip
i figure it shouldn't be that expensive considering that lip looks pretty small

that lip is gorgeous... combine it with stock sideskirts and a Hiro rear underspoiler it would look prime.

I do love my smiling face bumper though. I don't think I could part with it. >tongue.gif>

BTW I still think the smilie bumper looks great, but I reckon the orange lights especially dont look great on a black bumper. If I had a silver car or if proper clear lights were available I might not have bothered to change it.
