Ived used those or something very similar, if you're not moving power or ground of many amps they're ok. I wasn't thrilled with how tight the seals fit so I packed them with thick silicone grease. Should probably pack all the electrical connections to make sure there's nothing wicking in on humid days in storage.

I was just about to say the same thing about the dielectric grease, I'd pack em and then you never have to worry about them.

Noting really to update.... Got the car back on the ground. I need an alignment and potentially some crush tubes, but it drives great.

I forgot how much I enjoyed driving it.

The End.

With or without the new suspension?

Without. It's getting too nice out not to have the car, and we were waiting for the factory to get back up, so I've pulled my parts back and will deliver some extras that I've acquired so that I don't have 2 cars tied up in the garage for a full year.

Well.
At least you're back to driving it now, running backwards through Mcdonalds and stuff.

The conncetors came in the other day, so yesterday, after I fought with the difference in wire gauges for 10 minutes, I called Stacy in to take care of the wiring. Everything is all soldered up and now I have weather-proof connectors for the next time i need to do a big job.

.....And I need a new oil pressure sender.... At least the car is running good.

Still need an alignment though.

Why did she do the wiring?

For an alignment that car seems like a chaotic neutral.

That's what she does Jordan.

I do the mechanical work, and she handles all the electrical.

You need to like do some Yoga or Tai Chi or something man. Breathe in and breathe out the frustrations.

I'm just not built that way man.

~bloodMoney
The last couple of times driving the car, I was noticing a lot more clunking going on in the front end, so I've been hesitant to drive it....

Turns out the banana arm bolt needs something like 127lbft of torque... I put the torque wrench them and got two full turns before they locked down. cwm13.gif

While I was down there, I double checked the torque on all the SS stuff, and that all checked out.

I also noticed when putting the car back together, that the intake tube just at the turbo had given up the ghost. While it does make those cool turbo sounds that we all love, it really lowers the amount of filtered air that it going to the compressor.

Side by side with the new Stoney Racing hose...

Drove it to work today, and it's so much quieter now.... I'm kinda sad about that.

The good side is, no more clunking! Now I just need to figure out why my steering clunks when I turn the wheel.....

~bloodMoney
Very cool car man, if the clunking isn't a product of the inner or outer tie rods being no bueno... then it's almost got to be the rack and pinion I guess. I just rebuilt my rack and pinion which wasn't a bad job really. hardest part is getting it out of the car. This is all assuming it's the same system as a FWD GT...
Is it a big boy clunk or is it a little Honda clink? Used to see work steering racks and steering ujoints on Camries (Camrys?) that made some god awful clunking when turning.
