FS: If you guys want these? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #10010 66 posts Started by DG_Performance
Ok guys,
this is what has been going on. A few of you guys have been asking me to make some things (especially "strut bars"). Well, I think i have a plan? I would like to know how many people would deffinetly be in for me making a bounch of these!
I have made a rear strut bar "as a prototype" (look on my profile for pics) and since it turned out really well, I am willing to make some of these for other 6gc members! The bars will fit both the GT and ST since body types are the same.
I have not yet made a front bar yet, but i am sure i can... since it should be similar but would just use more material and cost a little more. I will be making a front bar in the next few days and it will be a "3 point brace" like the really expensive ones that cost over $300.
Depending on the amount of people that are serious about this.... the price will drop for the more people that want these braces!
Prices will be:
front bar price will be $130 including shipping
rear brace will be $100 including shipping
only people that have $ and are serious should reply to this post!!!!
This is for all you guys who want "good solid strut braces" but dont want to spend tons of $ on them!
DG
Hows it goin man?
Is there any possibililty of producing a 3-point rear brace like the jspeed brace?
I would definately be interested in purchasing.

matt
matt,
i just looked at the rear jspeed 3point brace.... it looks like i can make that. I just got to go and look at my car to see how that mounts!
update: i just looked at that and there is no place to mount the bottom! looks like the jspeed rear makes you drill into the floor and mount it???
thanks,
dg

i would definatly be interested in a 3 pt front strut bar. I would like to see a pic first before im positive, but if you are making them i am sure they will be great.

Its Orville's Celica, i just drive it...
I'm the same as Orville, I'm very interested but I'd kinda like to see a pic first just to ease my mind.
I'm a moron, but I've got a question. What exactly do these bars do? What are the pros/cons of having one/two of them in your vehicle? How exactly can we install them (I've seen your pics, but I'm still clueless)? Would you be willing to provided exact installation instructions?

Thanks,
-Brian
i would take a front strut brace when you get them made.

hows it taste motha f*cka
once you get a prototype of the front brace. I will defenately buy it =) if I like it.
I'm down with a purchase of both.

Some one get this man a GT so he can fabricate some CAIs.
i'd probably be in, just would like some pictures of course.
I will put pics of the front brace on my profile when i get finished making the prototype. i will also have to make jigs from the prototype braces.... so all of the braces come will turn out exactly the same.
I am going to need a few days on the rest of the stuff i got to do to be able to produce more of these braces, so look for pics later in the week.
after both front and rear braces are posted on my profile.... i will be making these for people in the order that i receive payments.
this way the people that are "ready to buy these" will not have to wait for other dreamers delaying the process >biggrin.gif>
Thanks guys,
DG

p.s. about me making instructions, trust me ....they will not be needed!
It is a simple bolt on mod to make the car handle better...
Dude, you know I am in since I have been bugging you about it...hehe ~ Liquidsmooth
yup...i'm in.
If ur still making the front braces this summer I'm in for sure, but until then I'm doin other stuff... Exhaust, interior work, etc. Also if u find any more ct26's laying around this summer I might be interested.
OH HELL YES.

Would like to see pictures of the front first but I'm in for both front and rear if the front looks good.

- Aaron
I am in for both front and rear.
PM or email me when you want payment.
I have the jig made and ready to go for making the rear braces... but i am still waiting on key parts i need for the front braces.
I will let you guys know as soon as i get a front brace done
thanks

I'd be interested once you figure it all out.
I'd be down for a 2-point bar, provided of course that its big and sturdy >wink.gif>
doesn't the 3 point rear brace bolt onto the middle of the seat mounts, where the back seats are secured to the body? Im interested in the front but would like pics first. thanks for doing this seeing as how there is a lack of decently priced mods for the 6gen.
I'll have to see pics, but I'd be down for a front strut bar. 3 point or two.
hey i would be down. first tho is a 3point front connect to the middle of the back wall. on for the back does it have to connect to the seats? Oh ya and is there anyway u can make the back on flatter if u know what i mean? i just thought it would look cool. Thnaks

ok well if that is where it mounts i can fab something up but i will need $ before i make it...
it will look just like the rear bar i just made but have two more bars going down to the rear seat mount.
let me know?
dg
Given a price to work for, I can have the money in about a month. I'm guessing the other bars people are wanting will take about that long, so I'll try to save up about 150 or so and hit you up when I do.
Ok, when you are ready to get one just let me know , send me the $ , and i will make your custom rear bar for ya within 2 days of when i get the $
thanks
dg
How about my custom front bar??? >smile.gif>
