OH Damn that motor is a beast on wheels, VERY NICE!! dyno results? just one thing, get rid of that gehetto old brick laptop, for something that can match the motor in performance. but besides that, sweet.

but dang your car puts mine to shame.
LOL! Me and that laptop go waaay back....and its been doing an ok job so far, serial connections only go so fast.
Still breaking in the fresh motor... if I want to dyno it, I'll have to buy one because they don't exist on the sothern oregon coast and I don't have time to head north. I'm working on the "buy one" part.
Other than that it feels real nice for only 5psi and limited RPM... Should beat my big turbo SRT4.
im guessing your still in the break in period, with only running 5 pounds? hopw much you planing on running?

anyways that motor is beautiful.

Former: 96 GT 5 speed(i/p/e)Fate-rear ended by mack truck00 GTS 6 speed(i/ Bored TB 63mm - 68.5mm w/ butterfly/ Ported IM/ IMG/ PFC/ Commander/ datalogit/ Ported & heat wrapped Header/ Decat/ UEGO/)193FWHP 14.2(1/4mi) @98mph, 2.12 60ft (just intake, unbolted Exhaust, and gutted)Fate-side swipped by 18 wheeler at 75mph.Next: maybe an elise
18-20psi on 92, depending on deto thresholds...
Race gas? 27-30psi should do nicely >biggrin.gif>
my lord...i have a hard on

Now SR powered
thats nuts man. congrats on completing it >smile.gif>

you definetly need to get some video going once its broken in and at full boost. its gonna spin tires like crazy before the quaife atb goes in >biggrin.gif>
WOAH! where in oregon are you? Ashland or Grants Pass? I wanna come see it!
I live here in Siberia

aka Coos Bay >frown.gif>

I wonder how long my S-53 is going to last, bets? >tongue.gif>
omg, gasp im living near 2 really nice cars >biggrin.gif> coos bay isnt far from clatskanie (where i live)

the 1/4 doesnt have patience for a ST.... so we make them ST-T's so atleast we'll sound good going slow.
wow thats some impressive work man, looks pretty sweet! >biggrin.gif>

Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)13.6@108MPH, 5SFTE Powered
OMG, that is one hot motha! Winter is in though, are you going to store her and break her in, in the spring?
jgse3sge whats ur aim/msn?

Naw, no snow here...
Don't think I'll be doing any full power runs though >wink.gif>
I've even had to drop my mod SRT4 to 15psi unless its real warm out >frown.gif> Its still awsome to rev it and run through the gears though...
those stock N/A cams sound awesome >smile.gif> The port job seems to be done for velocity because even though its low comp. off boost perfomance is awesome. The AEM is awsome as well, one drive and I had a good functional map.
My messenger is broken >frown.gif>

Time to go slap on the wheels and go for a drive, I just got done replacing my first S-53 (on its last leg before I got it, lasted 75miles  )...
If anybody close is interested in checking it out I can be contacted thru my business, www.jgsturbo.com

Great work!!!... Superb effort!!!!

IMHO.... An additional engine oil cooler would be some help to your engine health in the long run.
By the way, what's your engine oil temp at the moment??

Cheers...
I was born and raised in Reedsport! I go to coos bay all the time... that is awesome! I am coming to coos bay in a week or so.. is there ANY way I could come take pictures and drool over your setup?!
So instead of just buying a 3SGTE... you built one? Awesome! The experience is worth more than anything...

That's awesome! >biggrin.gif>

I'm still using the stock coolant based oil cooler (its actually relocated with the filter). Haven't had a chance to make a place to install my oil temp gauge but coolant temp is sitting at 185 max.
I'm also all out of room for an oil cooler >frown.gif> I would like to put on the GT4 bumber/hood... that would leave a good place for one + cooling vents >smile.gif>

I do tours >biggrin.gif>
I can be found at the old sumner elem. school M-F 9-4pm, call if you need directions.

Update: just went for a drive with new trans, it goes and stops (rear disc conversion). The initial thrill is over, I'm hungry for more boost >smile.gif> Got to get those breakin miles out of the way >mad.gif>

Good question... not sure the year. It is a 2nd gen 3SGE which I believe came in the Jspec 5th gen.
Its really my idea of the perfect 3SGTE >smile.gif>
Dual mode intake (opening a second plentum down stream effectively negates the runners up stream)
Same valve train hardware as the USDM (for replacement, the 3rd gen are very different).
N/A cams for higher rpm performance
Higher velocity ports

The only thing its lacking is VVT, hmmm...But I don't think I have enough room for the VVT actuator >frown.gif>

Are you using the aem standalone?

Yup, I wired in MR2 ecu plugs and swaped some wire in my harness.
I like it alot so far, then again I'm a tech-head and its about as techy as it gets >smile.gif>
Im thinking of going the same route. When I started my swap people told me that I couldnt use a MR2 3SGTE ecu to run the alltrac motor and they said that I couldnt use my factory harness and I did And Im doing the same thing as you having to move the wire from pin to pin to make it work. The aem is probably the best standalone system around for our cars. But not to many people know this or dont want to spend the money.Im glad everything worked out for you and have some fun with it now after all the hard work!
I had to completely hack off my 7AFE ecu plugs and extend every wire >frown.gif>
Took me 2-3 days because I also whipped out the dynomo and labled every wire >smile.gif> LOTS of solder and heat shrink.
I had to put mine AEM in the glove box because it would not fit under the dash >frown.gif> hence the extensions.
But its very nice having the ECU in the glove box, easy access.
amazing
