What about instead of spraying 25 at half throttle how about something that sprays 25 at the launch and then builds up to 75 as you get into 3-5 gear. Is there sumthing like that out there?
Yeah it's the computer controlled systems that I listed, Venom has been a successful system that's why I would sway more towards it. Also remeber these are Wet systems so yes you can spray at any throttle position since the fuel is being added through an auxillary injector. The NXT is a neat system but they are limited to their applications and are a direct port fogger system good for 25-75hp on 4 cylider applications, they also replace your intake manifold. The cost are still around $1,200 and you are limited to what the program options are, but if you want that supercharged feel and don't have $3,000 laying around it would be a good thing. I also think that the Venom system uses the O2 sensor to tell if you're running lean and automatically kills the nitrous if you hit to high of a temp. or go to lean. As with all nitrous systems the main draw back is refills and last time I checked they were $40 but that was a couple of years ago. If you're building the motor up then I would go for one of these systems, nitrous gets a bad rep because of people that get the dry systems and misuse them, of course your motor will blow if you run a 125 shot on a 4 banger with no reinforcement and spray until the redline. Also these systems will allow you to set RPM stages so you could have the nitrous come on at 25hp at 2000 RPM and shut off at 75hp at 5500 RPM giving you a nice boost and not having to worry about redlining with the nitrous on, rule of thumb is the nitrous needs to be shut off 200-300 RPMs before the redline or rev limiter.
Thanks for all the information and help. Would a three angle valve job be a good thing to do with a nitrous application?
It could help top end performance and keep the mixture consistant, same with polishing the head and intake. Make sure everything is clean in the combustion chamber, nitrous like to cling behind pockets and chips in metal, after building up it can casue detonation. Just make sure it's clean, and I would also invest in a metal head gasket.
Thanks for all the information.
