US meet location - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #30294 43 posts Started by celicaST
alright i figured id throw a poll up so we can keep track of where people would like this meet to be if it ever happens. might as well go to bahamas since this is a dream anyways right? but im optimistic and vote for colorado >smile.gif>.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.
I say concentrate East Coast and West Coast Meets and make those huge and then have a whole US one and hope for the best!

Cruisin down the street in my Infiniti...always lookin for my next trip to Sin City
Colorado or Nebraska. Come on man. I want this to happen so bad. Vote for them two states >smile.gif>
EAST COAST AND WEST COAST. TO FAR FROM ME.

Colorado to the east is like Tennesee to the west.

The east has alot of members that would make this drive. For something like this to happen, the trip has to kinda be equal for both sides.

Lets try to stick more towards the middle of the country.

I agree with Def, I would like KC or Indy I voted Colorado cause its closer. I would be up for anything if we get enough people from the west side to caravan, thats some of the most fun on a meet anyway.

I agree, driving in a pack is awesome.

Remember that bonzaisushi and I live in KC so we would be happy to make arrangements. Lots to do, and some great photo opportunities with the skyline in the background, as well.

97lestyousay, why such hate for the Chiefs? After all, they are better than the Seahawks >tongue.gif>

LOL. Since I am not a fair weather fan, I will add that the Vikings are better than both.....well, maybe not this year.

why not just have a west coast, east coast and central meet first and see how that goes? as for the east coast meet...i know im biased but i woud say lets meet in north carolina....its central location on the east coast in relation to florida and new york....and you dont get harassed as bad by cops in nc (compared to dc, va, nj, ny.

I would definitely be willing to help make arrangements seeing as I live in the area also. This would be an awesome meet.

Sweeeeet. Where do you live?

edit: n/m I saw you have JoCo plates >biggrin.gif> We should meet up sometime to discuss matters, pending they want the meet here.

I am also prone to having a central, east, and west meet. See how those go and maybe have a national meet the year after. Food for thought.

I still suggest east coast meet before anything national. TBH I doubt i'd go to anything past pennyslvania/ohio.

I used to live in SoCal, and you can make the drive to Kansas City in 2 days easily. One time I did it in 36 hours with 6 hours sleep, plus time to eat and rest a bit, but that sucked. From here Ohio is a hard day's drive, straight down I-70.

Anyone from the west coast can get to KC from I-70.
Anyone from the east coast can get to KC from I-70.

Via mapquest, mileage is as follows:

Seattle to KC: 1870 miles, 26 hours, 37 minutes
San Diego to KC: 1680 miles, 24 hours, 16 minutes
NYC to KC: 1191 miles, 19 hours, 10 minutes
Charlotte, NC to KC: 975 miles, 15 hours, 13 minutes
Washinton, DC to KC: 1075 miles, 17 hours, 0 minutes

I think that Denver or Colorado Springs would be too far for some east coast guys to drive, especially the ones in New England. Plus, I think that we need to have the meet somewhere where there is a member of the board so that they can make arrangements. My .02 cents.

Would you go to the tail of the dragon in Tennessee if you knew there were going to be 100 cool cars there along with 40 6gc's?
