i'm finally getting it done. upper forearm. tomorrow at 4:30, it's going down in chinatown. well, rochester.

i just finished the final drawing a few minutes ago....the nickel is for size comparison.



i'm stoked and nervous at the same time......first tattoo.

the pain thing all depends on where you get it. You got it on an area with lots of meet. Try gettin one in a really tender area or an area with bone.

But the tat looks good man. now just take care of it.

looks good. now ya gotta get lotion for it. wash it with warm water. don't scratch it when it's itchy. and SHAVE YOUR HAND lol. looks funny with a portion of it bald.

i slept with the bandage on last night, and i've been using the vitamin a & d ointment they gave me at the shop. it's looking pretty good so far, here's a better picture...but still with my phone.



is there a particular lotion you guys have used that you could recommend? i'm supposed to use the ointment for another couple of days and then switch to regular lotion.

edit: oh, and shin...i am NOT gonna start shaving to even things out. first it's the rest of one arm...then the other one to keep things even, and so on!

Tattoo Goo is awesome so is this stuff called TatWax. I hate A&D only b/c it's waaay too oily and smeels gross. When you use Tattoo Goo or TatWax it's used instead of using a A&D/Lotion treatment (usually you're supposed to use A&D first and then Lotion, to make the color come out and protect the skin once it's healed, but with the other stuff, there's no need). Anyways, here's an old (only about a few months) pic of my chest piece. Disreguard my non-muscular chest! Also, the picture is backwards and hadn't been touched up at all. It was after 4 hours. Oooh, the sternum is a b1tch!

PS- I'm really diggin' the arm band uberschall, try gettin' a tat on your or near your achilles tendon, or on your sternum like either one of mine, that's definitely a good pain right there!

one of my buddies got a tattoo on his chest...said it's the worst pain he's ever felt.

i've got to get some more muscle mass before i get a chest piece...i don't want to distort it.

mine's peeling atm, i'm switching to regular lotion i guess.

Yeah, more muscle mass on your chest is a good thing. My artist was really harsh with me b/c at the time I was really flabby, so the skin had to be stretched out which was just more work for him. And the sternum felt horrible. Also, he'd get close to the nipples, felt like he was literally trying to cut them off with a knife! Crazy feeling.

im gettin my new tattoo in a weeks time My buddy has a friend who just opened his shop a few weeks ago and does good work. He has been tattooing for like 6 years now and decided to open his own shop. So as a promotional kinda thing, hes doing 2 for 1 tattoos all next week. So im gonna go get my new tattoo next week, but now i gotta figure out what else im gonna get. Im gonna b gettin a black and red nautical star above my elbow, but i donno what else im gonna get now. Any ideas?? Im thinkin of gettin some traditional styled tattoos.

finaly got my appointment booked...saturday at 2pm, gettin my nautical star done, then i got that good deal the 2 for 1 tattoo thing, so im going in probably on the 7th just b4 i head to NJ for the DWG meet to get my heartagram tattoo. Im either gonna get that or im gonna get a swallow..im still trying to figure it out. I wanna get both, but i donno which one when.

and shes done...just a bit more then 2 hours..and that was with a break *guy needed a smoke*, but yea..came out good..only part that hurt hurt was the outline, the shading and colour didnt hurt too much. But yea, the pic makes it look kinda distorted and lopsided, but its straight and equal, just i cant tke good pics..lol.

its a traditonal tattoo that sailors used to get to give them good luck getting home, and since im living 4 hours away from my family and friends and i go home at times, but its more because i live so far away from every one. I got it for that reason but i also got it in memorie of my old cat, named star, that i had for 13 years b4 we had to put him down.
