So boys when are you having this meet? You all talk about it so much, but it never happens. I took a look at this thread and recently it has been more talk about fuel pumps, powder coating, and dynos than it has been about the meet. Whats up with that?

Well, we have already set a date. For us college students I think that weekend of spring break is our meet. Its basically going to be a mini cruise to D&B's. We'll see.

I was just kidding I know all you respect the 3S to much to try and steal it.
Alright we can eat as long as we dont just go for a short cruise to eat...we need to spend a little time on the road.

Yea im coming I am going to finish up some little tid bits on my deuce before then (put the interior back together, hook up my guages, alignment, wheel bearings, etc.) Then ill pull it out on the 28th and drive it all day to make sure its good for the 29th.
If its not ill just roll with Rick in his celi.
But if neither of our cars are rollin, then we may have to take my Mazda Protege' of power. lol
we will see

That might actually be a good idea for me to give my number. Do NOT call me between 9 and 3 during weekdays please. If you haven't read the other pages, we are meeting at the Mall of America in the West parking lot (hopefully an open parking level) and then after checking peoples rides out, we will make the 45 min ride out to maple grove if that drive is long enough for ya. My number can be texted or called, so if you need specifics past what I've given you on game day, thats cool. what the hell is with "oh someone's gonna steal my 3s"? who the **** really cares. it will take a bitching long time to take that **** out. and it's nothing special. when i had my mr2 turbo i drove it everywhere with no alarm and no one touched it...sheesh...acting as if we're all theives here

Well since you're going to GA you'll have to go to the air port. Why not stop by at the MOA and check out the rides? I want to see that corolla any way. Your uncle was telling me about it. I think I might pick up those brakes from him too. I'm hoping its the two piston caliper.

Rick, I already mentioned that it was a joke...lol.. I hope no one steals my 5s... lol

Who can diagnose my issues. After the fuel pump install I'm having rough idles and its not running as smooth. Like it struggles to run smooth. Sometimes when I get to 3k rpm my car will all of the sudden run smooth, but it like struggles to climb in the rpm. Could it be the upgraded fuel pump? I mean I'm not going to be driving it until I boost it, hopefully start this weekend.

this should be a pretty decent meet. just counting down the days and hoping the temp will continue to rise..... ya i saw that you posted it was a joke after i posted. with your car issue....did it have this problem before you changed the pump? how is your timing have you checked that? when you rev it hight does it want to die after you let off the gas? (fpr)

I just got my timing belt and all seals done actually. My car was not acting like this before the fuel pump install. The funny thing is, it ran awesome tihe first couple of days then it went to crap. The same thing happened to my e30. THe fuel pump died I changed it and it ran like a charm. But a couple of days later it started studdering every where I went. Then the car wouldn't start for an hour. After sitting there trying to start her it finally started and now that thing runs like a charm. No when I rev up it doesn't want to die. Just cold starts, it doesn't want to idle and dies. Gotta apply some gas for a little to keep the car dieling.

sounds like a timing issue it may have skipped a tooth or two. did you replace the tensioner with a new spring. and did you remember to tighten down the tension idler bolt after the spring was installed. and did you rotate the engine a few times to make sure your tdc marks all line up insync. did you use a timing light to re-time the engine. retarding or advancing the distributor with the te and the e1 terminals on the diagnostic box with a jump wire while the car was is on to put it in timing mode.(this is most likely the case
