Exactly, Sammie is such a lazy bum. Will, I don't know how you put up with her......lol, don't kill me Sammie it was just a joke.

Any update Brad? I wouldn't mine taking the red valve cover from you.....

Insurance guy called me today and said it was going to be totaled, no surprise, and told me to just pull all my stereo stuff out of it because they wont give me anything for it. So I might call the shop tomorrow and see when they could let me in there to take the stereo stuff out of it and whatever crappy little mods a local would want that could provide stock stuff so it still likes a complete car.

I told John he could have the headlights + some cash for his stockers, so I'd consider those sold. The only other thing on the car I think anybody would want is the intake and maybe the header. Everything else I have I made a for sale thread.

How much for the header/catback? Do you still have the upgraded upper/lower radiator hose, chrome valve cap, and the optima redtop battery if it's still good? If any of those, quote me.....lol
Damn spending money on NO GO parts Ger comeon bro.

^^^^Hey,hey,hey........whatever makes me keep this car so in the future I'm committed to modify it. Unlike someone who modifies and sell, modifies and sell, and modifies and sell. Losing all the money spent on wasteless modifications that you're not even enjoying, because I rather have a car that works instead of this half done project.

LOL, besides compare to Sammie's I've got the best looking ST exterior and engine bay wise.... biggrin.gif

HAHA Funny MAN. I enjoy the work I do. I also had some good times with the swap, BUT FWD FTL. You won't know about it until you have power to just your front wheels. Waste of money spent I tell you. Yes I miss the aggressiveness of the car, but fwd just plain sucks. No worries though. The money I've spent so far on the alltrac is going to be all worth it. No way I'm parting with this baby. I'm in too deep already. Lets just say I've spent about $4000 so far into this project, yet it still looks the same as the day it rolled off the semi truck. HAHAHA

Ger you are one big hater bro. No worries. IF Sammie would supply me the funds, her car could look damn good. We're going to tear into the motor this summer anyway. Hell might even convince her to swap in a 4age.

HATER? I'm just laying out the facts

Make a Will Happy Foundation:
Money spent so far
MR-S: no idea
Civc: Had some minimal mods
Celica GTS: no idea
Celica GT2.5: You quoted around 6-7k I think
Celica Alltrac: Just said 4k

Let's Bash on Ger's ST Foundation:
Money Spent so far
Celica ST: 1k

Lol, please don't hate me......just playing foo!

Alright on-topic! 4age sounds good, but damn....they're some old engines though. I'm about to tear into mine as well, was gonna do a tune-up in spring: gaskets, timing belt, water pump....etc...Just wating for a 4agze supercharger and the head to show up on a for sale thread. If not, dunno.......

This post has been edited by ZGear: Mar 5, 2009 - 8:18 PM
I thought I saw a 4age head and block for sale on craigslist. But I did want 4agze for sammie, she doesn't want forced induction. But Sammies car needs serious body work.

Yeah 4age head and block for $150 if I remember correctly. I'm not gonna go boost crazy, don't want the headache of maintaining the car every day and have it down every other month or so....4agze head and supercharger is fine with me and build a monster 7agze. All right you made me committed to this build.
NOICE!!! **** your going to build a Frankenstein like me hahaha. But suspension is big for me too.

Dunno....might have to do a timing belt soon. Will see if I can make it.

You guys are more than welcome to help...... biggrin.gif , if not I'll learn it myself, will probably take a good day or two. Also if I'm up for it a new water pump too.

"To Protect And To Serve The Wealthy" -POLICE
timing belt is not bad to replace. while at it, replace the water pump. takes a few hours, maybe more if you're inexperienced.

Just installed my CAI intake....didn't know it was that loud! Because my timing belt makes a whistling sound and the intake has the throaty sound, really sounds like a turbo. Unfortunely I won't have all my modifications by the time we meet up=ghey!

I'll be ordering parts tomorrow (timing belt and belt tensioner kit / water pump / all the gaskets that I need replaced) and get my new front brake pads in...will pick them up early Tuesday. Pick up a 6 pack of GATORADE maybe a crave case, pending if William is coming to help, anyone is welcome to come, pm me for address. De-assemble front bumper, fenders, and all plastic underbody and cowls. Then get to work!

So far:
Strut Bar = $50
CAI Intake = $50
Hood Gas Dampers = $60
Cooling Plate = $70
TRD Sticker and Key = $30
Modification Total = $260

Timing Belt ($380) and Water Pump ($70) QUOTE at a local auto repair garage for cheap! $450

Doing it myself:
Timing Belt = $19.99
Belt Tensioner = $54.99
Water Pump = $38.99-43.99
Water Pump Gasket = $2.99
Valve Cover Gasket = $28.99
Oil Pan Gasket = $3.99
Total: $154.94 roughly

SAVING: $295

1995 Celica ST TUNE-UP = $415 Because that's how Blizzard Tuning does business! HEY WILLIAM! What gen 3sge motor are you picking up? If BEAMS, I might be interested in the block and build it up.

How decent is decent? I have a somewhat messed up spare that can be used for the time being. 2.5in connector and the filter is somewhat slanted with a small to medium opening.
Its going to be a 3rd gen 3sge non beams. Still decently high compression.

John I'll help this weekend no problem.

Greg when are you going to give me your stuff so I can weld up for you?

98 Celica gt red- totaled deer94 Celica st black DD (bad weather beater)- totaled deer95 Celica gt silver- chassis sold88 Celica All-Trac (Burned to a crisp)94 Celica gt white (sold)In need of a rust free chassis!!!!
Not sure, but just found out that my crankshaft pulley is really loose. Might be a loose bolt or possibly blown bolt that's causing the pulley to wobble making noise as I apply acceleration. Will see if I can tighten it, still I really haven't changed my timing belt so I'mma need to do that anyways.

Today went to the store and bought the timing belt, water pump with gasket, oil pan gasket, and valve cover gasket. The belt tensioner kit was way too much and would take three to five days for placing an order, so I didn't get that. I know that I'm gonna have to bleed the oil and possibly coolant, so may as well do an oil change. Any other suggestions that I should buy to replace?

When are you available tomorrow Will?
