I thought I was having a bad day, but while in the process of changing my brake pads I found out that my driver side CV axle boot ripped. NICE! Now I'mma have dish out more money into the car. Since my boot is ripped and there seems no problem with the axle, is there a way I can just replace the boot?

If the boot just recently ripped you should be ok but if its been like that for awhile with dirt getting in their not a good idea either way it'll be easier and better to just replace the whole DF axle, I have a spare boot and grease for the pass side I don't know if their interchangeable but if you want to give it a try its yours.

It's been a while since I replaced my brake pads so I'm not sure when it ripped. I did remove my fender wall yesterday, but don't recollect seeing any grease. My best bet is to replace the whole assembly I guess. Suppose it's my time to have my car down....good thing I don't work for now....otherwise I'd be in a hurry or takes weeks to finish.

It sucks now, but I'm thinking that once this is over, it's gonna drive like a champ and a while before I touch anything again. Woot woot!

Big thanks to Will for helping me today with the disassembly of the 7afe. The CV Joint has been replaced by an unknown method that is only accesible to Blizzard Tuning, lol. Thanks to Greg for showing up and cheering the team on, he did help with my polished valve cover and grommet install. Tomorrow's another story.

99GT: There's plenty of celicas on craigslist. A nice mint celica? No, not a chance in Minnesota other than Will's 3S swapped which sadly has been sold. I know of only one other guy that wants to sell his celica, Chivong, Silver 99 GT. Other than that out of state homie.

Dude you were more than likely at work. besides I know you wouldn't drive out in this weather to BP. We started early morning and finished up maybe around 6:30.

So looks like Pro Karting is what we're doing. Just gotta decide where to eat and get Greg Drunk!!!

After Greg showed up we did decide to call you John, but the weather started turning horrible. If you wanna join the man cuddle in my garage, you're more than welcome to, just let me or Will know and will give you directions.

You guys gotta get pumped for this meet man! I'm up for getting Greg drunk!

hey guys my fam's havin a goin away party for me on Saturday. it'll be all day long but I think it will be better at night time (old relatives that I don't know will be there in the morning/daytime). address is 13998 Starlite Drive Rogers 55374. Will be food and asians (lol greg!). i'm going to Basic Training next wednesday for 4 months. hopefully I will survive and make it through!!!

Transverse mount the 3sgte onto your bike and call it a day. Will be the fastest thing you'll ever build.

The more I think about this tune-up the more I believe that things happened for a reason. When me and Will thought that we could just put all the parts back on and fire her up, things kept getting in the way of it (motor mount issues, lost bolts, crank pulley, etc) So instead of rushing things to get done, I guess it was fate that we had to get the small little things fixed that needed to be done that we could of skipped. By taking it slower we were able to find new problems that occured or could have occured.

Sorry, no celica at the meet for me. Will also have to wait til monday (if we're lucky) to get the parts in from Toyota to complete this monster 7afe N/A motor.

^^^wtf? He doesn't even need one? Donate it to my "Ger's Celica ST Get Well Foundation"

I did some searching and no one has anything on craigslist. Even if it's a partout the corolla or celica are junk already. Did do a search on Jon's Auto and they have nothing regarding the Timing Sproket. May have to check them out tomorrow if you want to Will. Plus we can sneak around they're junkyard for any sporting goods we need.

check out Hans in Elk River. I know he has 3 STs sitting around and theres prolly a timing sprocket on one of them. if you can find one and get a price i can probably pick it up on my way down too. just a thought
